We highly recommend Derek Ibing and his team. They were fantastic from start to finish. We were building a new house and needed lots of custom cabinets. Derek was great in implementing the design plans and making it all work and look fantastic. The materials he uses are of the highest quality and his workmanship is beautiful, with great attention to detail. We have a beautiful and unique dressing room, an amazing laundry room, craft room, and a gorgeous office, thanks to Derek. We used another cabinet maker for some of the other rooms in our home and were disappointed. We wish we had used Derek to do it all. He and his team are very professional, polite and delightful to work with. The cabinets were all installed in a timely fashion and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Thank you Derek!

My husband and I renovated our master ensuite bathroom and Ibing Custom constructed the cabinets under the double sinks as well as the adjacent floor to ceiling storage cabinet. We are thoroughly delighted with the results. Derek was a pleasure to work with and extremely knowledgeable about all of the fine details needed to ensure that the cabinets were not only exquisite looking but functional as well. The finish of the painted surfaces is smooth and satiny to the touch and beautiful and durable as well. The materials used were all of the highest quality and the finishing details are perfect. It looks more like living room furniture than bathroom cabinetry!

Every time I sit down at my make-up table I marvel at the complex work you did, every drawer slides smoothly into place and when I lift the lid the lighted mirror it makes putting my make-up on a pleasure, and it matches the dresser as well as the wall unit to perfection. The quality of the medicine cabinets is as good as the pieces in the other rooms.
I must say the huge brake front you crafted for the dining room is one of the most beautiful pieces inside as well as out, everyone that sees our new home admires it.

Derek Ibing, of Ibing Custom, is one of the finest craftsman with whom I have ever worked. His creations are extremely well made, solid and stunning! Derek has built virtually all of the wood furniture and cabinetry in our home. He has exclusively made our custom bed frames, dressers, night stands and desks in our master bedroom, our two daughters’ rooms and our son’s room. He also built two large built-in units, one of which is in our bedroom and the other is in our kitchen/family room area. All of the furniture and built-ins were built exactly to the design and size specifications. When he had ideas regarding the design or construction, they were usually great improvements.
In addition to his excellent workmanship, Derek is a wonderful person who is easy to work with and who stands behind his product. Whether a light bulb goes out in one of his cabinets or if my son tries to stand in one of his dresser drawers and knocks it slightly off its runner, Derek is there to restore the piece to its original condition. One of the things that impressed me the most was when Derek was installing the nightstands in my three year old son’s room. The night stands are made from a beautiful, solid maple wood and my son will have them for the rest of his life. Because they are so well made, the nightstands are very heavy. When I walked into the room to check on Derek’s progress, I saw him attaching the back of the nightstands to the wall. Derek knows my son can be rough and he wanted to make sure that the nightstands would not fall on top of my son if he pulled the drawer out too hard. I was very impressed by Derek’s thinking and initiative.
Prior to moving to Toronto, I had been an executive with The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles for eleven years. While at Disney, I learned the meaning of excellence in creativity, design and workmanship and I expect only the best. I can honestly say that I have been thrilled with everything Derek and his team have done for us. As a bonus, he is a wonderful person to have in your home for a number of days.
